Instructions for authors

  1. Authors who wish to publish in the journal must register and upload an article on the website https://philological.korkyt.edu.kz
  2. Language of publications: Kazakh, English, Russian.
  3. Article length – 5-8 pages, without metadata.
  4. The article is formatted in the following order:
    • FULL NAME. author/authors (if there are two or more authors, *Corresponding author is indicated), centered alignment, bold lowercase letters. •Place of work, city, country, e-mail; center alignment, italics
    • The title of the article is centered, without indentation, in bold lowercase letters.
    • Abstract (180-200 words). Keywords (9-10 words) in the language of the article.
    • Article text .........
    • Literature (in the language of the article) and Reference in English.
    • Abstract and keywords in two other languages (authors from near and far abroad can provide this data in English and Russian, and are translated into Kazakh by the editors of the journal).
    • Information about the author/authors at the end of the article is given in three languages (Russian, Kazakh, English): Full name. (in full), academic degree, academic title, position, university name, address, city, country, ORCID or Scopus ID.
  5. To type text, formulas and tables, use the Microsoft Word editor for Windows. Text editor parameters: margins – 2 cm on all sides; width alignment; font – Times New Roman, size – 12; line spacing – 1.15; paragraph indent – 1 cm; Sheet orientation is portrait.
  6. References in the text to the corresponding source from the list of references are presented in parentheses indicating the first author of the work, year of publication, page number(s), for example:
    7. 1. [Vadzhibov, 1999: 45] or [Vadzhibov, 1999: URL]
    2. If there are 2 or more authors:
    а) [Vadzhibov et al., 1999: 45] or b) [Shaimerdenova, Amanzholova, Buribaeva, 2021: 10];
    3. If there is no direct link: [Vadzhibov, 2022]. The font of the list itself is Times New Roman, size – 12, paragraph – indentation 1.25, justified with hyphens.
  7. The list of references is provided in two versions:
    8. 1) in alphabetical order without numbering in the language of the article;
    2) Latin transliteration, within which the translation into English is given in square brackets (see Sample: Reference).
  8. The requirements apply to scientific reviews, reviews and personalities.
  9. The article must be carefully checked for spelling and syntax errors and technical design. Articles that do not meet technical requirements will be returned for revision. Returning for revision does not mean that the manuscript has not been accepted for publication.
